Was your train was over 30 minutes late? We’re sorry about that! However, SNCF offers you a range of compensations which we invite you to discover and request.

Here are the details for each situation:

For a TGV or INTERCITÉS train 


From now on, after 30 minutes’ delay, and for whatever reason, SNCF will allow you to obtain a voucher online.

Trains affected:

  • National TGVs*
  • INTERCITIES** with or without the compulsory booking
  • International TGV (Paris Luxembourg, Fribourg, Ventimiglia, Irun, Brussels-Province, etc.), TGV and Lyria-related offers, TGV France-Italy, DB-SNCF partnerships and RENFE-SNCF partnerships.


* you have a TGVmax pass and your train is more than 30 minutes late? TGVmax offers you a non-nominative voucher of €5.


** INTERCITÉS 100% ECO trains are only entitled to the new 30-minute guarantee if they are delayed for an hour our more.

To apply for compensation, have your reference number handy and go to Form G30 online. It's easier, and we will answer you in less than 5 days!


For SNCF trains on international routes


From now on, after 30 minutes’ delay, and for whatever reason, SNCF will allow you to obtain a voucher online.


Trains affected:

  • TGV Lyria
  • TGV France-Italy
  • TGV France-Germany (DB/SNCF partnership)
  • TGV France-Spain (RENFE/SNCF partnership)
  • TGV France-Luxembourg
  • TGV France-Ventimiglia
  • TGV France-Irun
  • TGV France-Freiburg
  • TGV Basel-Marseille
  • TGV Brussels-Province

To apply for compensation, have your reference number handy and go to Form G30 online. It's easier, and we will answer you in less than 5 days!


For a OUIGO train


After one hour’s delay on your arrival, you will automatically receive an SMS alert informing you of the delay and compensation to be given.


Here are the compensation rates:

 

Contact OUIGO if you have not received your voucher within 15 days.


For Eurostar trains (trips to England)


If you have been delayed by 60 minutes or more during a Eurostar trip, you are entitled to compensation.

To obtain your compensation in the form of a voucher (e-voucher), go to compensation.eurostar.com within the 12 months following the date of your trip. Please remember to bring your ticket with the number and reference, as these will be requested.

To request compensation by bank transfer, simply complete a refund request within 60 days of your trip. 


For Thalys trains (trips to Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany)


For any Thalys delay equal to or greater than 30 minutes, Thalys will offer you vouchers.
