If the conditions of your ticket fare permits, you may exchange your train ticket: 

  • online vita the website

Select the "My Bookings” link at the top right of the webpage. On the ‘My Bookings’ page enter your booking reference (alphanumeric characters) and the name used to make the original booking. You will be redirected to your personal booking area in which your reservation is displayed.  Click "Exchange" to select a new travel, after which you will cancel your old travel and confirm your new travel.

Want to exchange tickets (no e-tickets or self-print tickets) that are already in your possession? Please follow the online process indicated above. After confirming your new travel and cancelling your old tickets, please send your request for a refund of your old tickets within 60 days to the following address:

Including the following:

- your original train tickets

You can also receive a refund for your old train tickets by presenting them at one of the following points of sale:

  • At a Boutique
  • At the 24-hour self-service terminals, stations and SNCF boutiques in France.

Exchanging my ticket in France

Take your tickets to an SNCF ticket office or boutique.
You can also contact an SNCF sales agent by phone on 3635 (calls cost €0.40/minute).


Depending on the initial fare selected, a charge may apply.


Exchanging my ticket outside France


Buy a new ticket for your journey. Once you have placed your new order, you can cancel your original train ticket online.

Exchange or refund charges may apply. These will be shown in the quote displayed.
