Good to know about the global pass

Who can buy a global pass?

You must be a resident of Europe or the Russian Federation. There is no age limit! With an Interrail Pass you are now allowed to do one out-bound and one in-bound journey in your country of residence.

Where can i travel with a global pass?

You can travel in up to 30 Countries including: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, FRY Macedonia, Finland, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Holland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey.

Do i need a seat reservation?

IMPORTANT: If you are traveling on high speed, international or overnight trains, you must purchase a seat reservation prior to travel. When planning your trip don't forget to check which trains require a booking and which ones you can board freely

Which travel period to select?

Want to stay a few days each place?

The Interrail "Flexi pass" allows you to travel a certain number of days within a fixed period of time. For example: 5 days of flexible travel within 15 days...or 7, 10 or 15 days of flexible travel within 1 month. Advantage: Flexi days do not have to be consecutive days!

 

Want to travel every day?

The Interrail "Continous pass" allows you to travel every day whenever you want, within the 30 participating Countries. You can choose to travel: 15 or 22 days continuous or 1 month continuous Benefit: On each travel day, you can take as many trains as you want.  With the continuous pass you don't need to fill in the dates on which you travel in your pass.
To decide how many days of travel you need, we recommend that you make a travel plan!

Interrail global pass prices

Children under the age of 11 can have an Interrail pass free of charge. (A pass will still need to be booked for each child but the price will be 0€). A maximum of two children can travel free per adult. Please note: all passengers, including children traveling on free Interrail Passes, will still have to pay for a seat/sleeping berth and passholder fares, where applicable.
